A Vancouver native Teryl Rothery always knew she wanted to be an entertainer. Her career began as a dancer at age thirteen when she performed her first musical, BYE BYE BIRDIE. Her role in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN earned her a Most Outstanding Performer award with her theatre company. At age 18, Teryl made her first television appearance in the CBC Halloween Special, BOO. It was at this time she decided that her place was in front of the camera.

Teryl, who had be seen as Dr. Fraiser on the television series STARGATE, has had roles in the made for television movies THE BOOK OF RUTH, VIDEO VOYEUR:THE SUSAN WILSON STORY, QUARANTINE with Nastassja Kinski, RACE AGAINST FEAR, HUNT IN FULL CRY with Rosanna Arquette, DEAD MAN'S GUN with John Ritter, BADGE OF BETRAYAL with Harry Hamlin & Michele Greene, DECEIVED BY TRUST with Stephanie Kramer, TAILHOOK with Gail O'Grady and Hal Holbrook which was based on the real-life Tailhook scandal, and the mini-series SOLE SURVIVOR with Billy Zane. Recent series guest star roles include THE COLLECTOR, STILL LIFE, HUFF, OUT OF ORDER, JEREMIAH, GLORY DAYS, BEGGARS AND CHOOSERS playing Jim Belushi's wife, THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW playing his ex-girlfriend, TRADERS, VIPER, THE X-FILES, THE COMMISH, DaVINCI'S INQUEST, FIRST WAVE, multiple episodes of THE OUTER LIMITS, and a recurring role on the critically acclaimed Fox series, PROFIT. She has also appeared in the feature films BEST IN SHOW with Eugene Levy and Christopher Guest, WARRIORS OF VIRTUE, MAGIC IN THE WATER with Mark Harmon, MASTERMIND with Patrick Stewart, ANDRE with Keith Carradine, EXHUMING MR. In the field of animation Teryl has performed as Mrs. Skittles in the popular children's series NODDY, D'MYNA LEAGUE, HURRICANES, DRAGON BALL, BILLY THE CAT, LITTLEST PET SHOP, SAMURAI TROOPERS, RANMA 1/2, KING ARTHUR AND THE KNIGHTS, HEY! TETSUYA, A-KO, FILM ROMAN, CONAN THE ADVENTURER (2), THE EX-O SQUAD, SAMURAI MOVIE (3) and THE SHIN TOTSUGAWA STORY.
